Jack Davison has revealed that Take Me To Church will continue his racing career in America, after a pricked foot ruled him out of the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Having made the breakthrough at Dundalk in November, he followed-up at the Co Louth venue before impressing in the Madrid Handicap at Naas in March.

A highly creditable fifth of eight in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, he was subsequently sold for 300,000 pounds at the Goffs UK London Sale prior to the Royal meeting.

Speaking at Tipperary on Wednesday, Davison said: "Take Me To Church is due to go to America in a couple of weeks to join Brad Cox in Saratoga.

"He got a small issue in Ascot where he pricked a foot and couldn't run.

"The owner bought him for the experience at Ascot but unfortunately it didn't happen and prizemoney in America is a lot more attractive than in Europe."

Davison went on to provide an update three-time winner Scorchio and Group 3 winner Thunderbear.

He added: "Scorchio will reappear on Saturday in a fillies handicap. She ran well in Ascot and I look forward to stepping her up to six.

“Thunderbear will go to Dundalk next Friday.”
