Taillons strikes for Turley and Dempsey Mig Des Taillons bounced back to winning ways when claiming the Killahora Farms Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse. Patrick Turley's charge had met trouble in running at Punchestown last time but it proved much smoother today. Luke Dempsey's mount travelled well to dispute with Bold Emperor before the second last and was sent into the lead before the final flight. The French-bred was always doing enough on the run-in to record a length victory at odds of 15/2. “I was probably in front a little bit too soon,” said Dempsey. “He doesn't do a lot in front but when the other horse came to me he picked up again. “He travelled really well into it but just idled a bit when he hit the front. It was a nice performance.”
