Charlie Swan and J P McManus combined for a double when Rourke's Cross landed the bumper, adding to their earlier gains with Prince Of Fire as the Milan gelding prevailed in Limerick's finale under Nina Carberry.
There were plenty fancied in the www.totegoracingclub.com (Pro/Am) Flat Race but ultimately it came down to the big two in the market as second favourite Rourke's Cross led inside the final furlong going on to prevail by half a length from the 'jolly' Law Rebel There were fourth lengths back to a couple of promising newcomers, Parabolica and Shotavodka who were split by a short head.
Swan said: "That's a welcome change of luck. This is a nice horse and he'll probably get a break now as he likes a little cut in the ground. We'll bring him back then for a hurdling campaign."
