Spot Thedifference gains fortunate victory The Irish wasted no time getting off the mark at the three-day ´Open Meeting´ in Cheltenham when Spot Thedifference recorded a fortunate win in the Sporting Index-sponsored Cross Country Chase.The Enda Bolger-trained gelding looked set for minor honours at best before the home turn until the favourite Registana, from the Czech Republic, took the wrong course entering the straight.This left the Garrett Cotter-ridden Star Performance out in front but he tired badly on the run-in as Spot Thedifference finished strongly up the hill for John Thomas McNamara to gain an exciting victory.The winner will return here for a similar race at the four-day Festival next March.
