Champion Jockey Colin Keane moved to the 70 winner mark for the season at Bellewstown today, steering Smile Of Love (4/6f) for an effortless ten lengths win in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.

The daughter of Tamayuz skipped clear of her rivals in the final quarter mile, and following the win trainer Ger Lyons' brother Shane Lyons said "her two-year-old maiden form has worked out brilliantly and she showed a bit of quality there.

"She got an injury last year, so we had to take our time with her after that when she disappointed in her last run last year. Thankfully, something came out of it and we gave her all the time in the world.

"She was very rusty in Tipperary, but we were delighted with that run and she only came good after the Tipperary run. From Tipperary to now, she was training very well.

"We would have been disappointed if we didn't win today, but the manner in the way she won, we'd like to think we will go stakes hunting and there could be something there for her. It is a big plus when they are willing to help you and she has a big heart and is very genuine.”

He added “big kudos to Bellewstown as the ground is beautiful, on the slow side of good which is a massive plus for a sharp track.”
