JJ Slevin will be cheering on Fastorslow from the sidelines when Martin Brassil's star makes his return to action in the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown on Sunday.
The Wexford pilot has ridden Fastorslow to his three Grade 1 successes but is currently injured with a broken bone in his foot.
Derek O'Connor will take the ride on the Saint des Saints gelding, who is currently a 2/1 shot in the ante-post market for the race behind 11/8 favourite Fact To File.
“It's getting a bit tougher to watch the racing as it gets a bit better. I'll be sorry to miss him but I'm looking forward to seeing him out again and seeing what he can do,” Slevin told journalist Dave Keena.
“I broke a bone just under the ankle, in my foot. It was pretty badly shattered, it was in 11 pieces.
“The surgeon, Ruairi Mac Niocaill, did a wonderful job putting it back together.”
