Sister Slew now a five time winner

Sister Slew recorded her fifth career success as she took the Ballaghaderreen Handicap under Robbie Downey for Shane Nolan.

Successful at Dundalk in February, the daughter of Kheleyf was last seen finishing a staying on second to Arbourfield at the Co Louth venue last month.

Just 6/1 in early shows, the Martin McManus owned six-year-old touched 10's on-course before going off a 9/1 chance.

Drawn on the wide outside in 15, she was settled in fourth and was pushed along to challenge on the outer from the two furlong pole.

She was ridden to lead over a furlong out, and kept on well from there to score by three lengths.

The front-running Clear Focus (16/1) kept on to take second under Rory Cleary for Tom McCourt, while Fairy Foxglove (11/2) was a further half a length back in third under Ross Coakley for Pat Murphy.

Jack Ellis was sent off the 11/2 favourite (from 7's) and she finished sixth under Pat Smullen for Paul Flynn.
