Sin Palo wins bumper for Mullins & Walsh Described by his trainer Willie Mullins as 'a fine big bumper horse' on his website www.wpmullins.com, Sin Palo made a winning debut under Katie Walsh in the final race on the penultimate day of the Killarney July Festival, the Dr Crokes GAA Club 125th Anniversary Ladies Flat Race. Mullins went on to say, 'He has had his training problems but he will like the ground here and, if he handles this tight track, he could run very well.' His positivity was proven right, as his 7yo Dushyantor, who is a half-brother to Strong Platinum, gelding travelled well entering the straight and tracked the leader Flycorn until his rider push the button inside the furlong pole and hit the front 200 yards from the line. He ran on well from there to score by four lengths at the finish. Flycorn, who was sent off the 9/4 second favourite, plugged on to take second under Pauline Ryan, while Garden Valley was a further length and a quarter back in third under Kate Harrington at 5/1. Winning rider Katie Walsh said afterwards: "He is tough and picked up well. He idled a bit in front but he was good." Donal Murphy
