The Dessie Hughes trained Siegemaster rewarded favourite backers with a comprehensive win in the Horse & Jockey Beginners Chase at Thurles today.
The gelding had things well in control when nearest pursuer Im a Witness fell at the last, leaving Siegemaster and Davy Russell to win by a distance, from Oscar Time
Afterwards Hughes reported "Siegemaster will be kept to two and a half to three mile races and the Drinmore Chase at Fairyhouse next month is a possibility."
