Shamwari completed a Dundalk double for Declan McDonogh and Joseph O'Brien when easily justifying odds-on favouritism in the Dundalk Stadium Best Dressed Lady Maiden.

Having run well on her debut over course and distance in April, the daughter of Justify followed up with a second placed finish in a Listed race at Leopardstown.

Although disappointing in similar company at Naas last time, the O'Brien trained filly attained a handicap mark of 96.

Back in maiden company this afternoon, McDonogh kept it simple on the market leader. Tracking the leaders in fourth in the early stages of the contest, he briefly had to push along entering the straight but was back on the bridle over two furlongs out.

Stretching clear from over a furlong out, the 4-5f eased ahead to beat the staying on Van Demon by three-and-a-quarter lengths.
