The 8/11 favourite Pink In The Park duly landed the odds in the mares' bumper as she wore down Gaoth Chuil in the final furlong to score by a length and a quarter.

In a race run at a steady gallop early, the winner was held up in mid-division by Patrick Mullins before taking closer order half a mile out. The eventual runner-up went for her race over a furlong out but couldn't withstand the finishing effort of Willie Mullins' Walk In The Park five-year-old. Saratoga Lass finished a further five lengths back in third.

A debut winner at Listowel last year, the winner has kept good company since and was runner-up in a Listed bumper at Fairyhouse last month.

Winning trainer Willie Mullins said: “A nice weight carrying performance as she was giving the second horse 20lb. She likes that ground.

“I think I’ll give her a break as she’s had a busy enough time and go jumping later in the season.”
