Scream gets her 'own way' to open account Front running tactics reaped dividends again in the second at Bellewstown as Scream claimed the three and four-year-old median auction maiden for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane. The daughter of Vocalised bounced out in front in the extended seven-furlong contest and made every post a winning one. 4/11 shot Captain Vancouver was pushed along to give chase two-and-a-half furlongs out but never looked like getting past Scream who stayed on well in the closing stages to post an eased down three-parts-of-a-length victory. The 7/2 winner was having her sixth career outing and her previous best effort had come when chasing home Betsey Trotter over six at Navan in May. Lyons said:- "Sometimes you're better to be in a maiden than a handicap, and she got it all her own way. Around here if you get your own way then you have a chance. "It's nice for the (Pulse Racing Ireland) syndicate (from Oranmore) and it's their first winner. She stayed well but it helped getting her own way and she enjoyed it. “It's as fast as she wants it but they have done a cracking job here on the ground. It's as safe as it can be with the heat."
