Satu made it a winning debut over fences when coming home in front of the Southwestern Power Services Ltd Beginners Chase for trainer Eoin Doyle.
Connections had to survive a stewards Enquiry when the winner came across and hampered runner-up Coast close home.
Shay Barry who took the riding honours, forced his way to front at the third last on the inner and the pair kept on well on the run-in despite drifting right close home.
Winning trainer Doyle said afterwards: “He’s a grand horse, he has been running well over hurdles but we decided to take our chance over fences as he’s jumps so well.”
“It was good performance considering it’s his first time over fences. He’ll mix it over hurdles and fences for the rest of the Summer.”
