Round three for Ringside at Sligo The Jim Bolger trained Ringside Humour is set to have her third run in just five days when she contests the Kilcawley Construction Sligo Rated Race this evening and everything points to a strong showing. The daughter of Teofilo finished down the field at the Curragh last Friday evening but bounced back over a shorter trip in the last race at the same venue on Sunday when beating Eddystone Rock by one length. Bolger remarked after Sunday's victory that Ringside Humour "is tough and hardy and takes her racing well" and also mentioned this evening's race as a likely target. She has certainly lived up to her reputation in the past with back-to-back victories within the space of four days in April of last year and in hindsight was unlucky to bump into subsequent Group 1 winner Curvy (received 7LBs) when going for three-in-a-row a further three days later. The four-year-old effectively races off a career high mark of 89 at Sligo but that is still one pound below her new official rating of 90. Last year's winner of the race I'll Be Your Clown is likely to emerge as the main danger but needs to step up from two poor runs so far this season. He is so far two from two at Sligo having also won his maiden over the course.
