Riviere D’etel made it three from three over fences for another impressive success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Klairon Davis Novice Chase and in the process made it a quickfire four-timer on the day at Navan for trainer Gordon Elliott.

The four-year-old daughter of Martaline again put in a smart round of jumping from the front and was in command from two out under Denis O’Regan in this Grade 3 event.

She galloped on strongly to beat Take All by 12 lengths with a 24 lengths gap back to Jacksons Gold in third.

Betfair and Paddy Power both trimmed the winner into 12/1 (from 14/1) for the Arkle at Cheltenham.

Elliott said, "She's a good mare. Whether we go for something at Christmas or not I don't know.

“She's had two runs now and Noel and Valerie are away on holidays for Christmas, so we came here for that reason. We'll see how she is and how she comes out of the race.

“Denis said she's actually gotten really relaxed when she gets to the front. They didn't let her away and she jumped very professionally. I'm very happy with her.”
