Rising rattles home to land bumper Rising Euro finished with a rattle to claim the concluding bumper at Ballinrobe this evening. Native Son looked set to collect as he loomed large under Robbie McNamara entering the straight. He took time to pick up when asked, however, and even though he just got the better of front-runner Tullydonnell Flyer he couldn't hold the late surge of Rising Euro. The Pat Martin-trained gelding really got motoring, under a strong drive from Jason McKeown, inside the final furlong to get up in the closing stages for a length success. The winner had been sent off the 9/2 co favourite, in an average looking contest, having finished mid-division on his last visit here earlier this month. "That's Jason's last ride as a claimer and my first winner for (owner) Sean Gallagher," revealed Martin. "I'm delighted as he's a gret supporter of trainers in Meath and north Dublin. He leased this horse with an option to buy and I hope he's the first of many. "It was a great ride from Jason and he timed it to perfection. He's probably more of a mile-and-a-half horse and he'll run now on the Flat." The other market leaders, Holy Smokes and Green Thirty Two, were fourth and eighth respectively. Gary Carson & Alan Magee
