Celtic Revival recorded his third win of the year at Dundalk when asserting close home in a tight four-way finish to the mile-and-a-half handicap.

The Eddie Lynam-trained gelding had won twice over course and distance in January and February before finishing fourth on his most recent outing earlier this month.

He was produced to challenge at the furlong pole today, by James Ryan, as plenty held chances passing the marker.

The Sea The Stars gelding got on top close home to record a half length win over Sea Oscar

There was a short-head back to French Company in third with another half-length to the fourth Golden Sandbanks

Lynam said of the winning jockey: "He looks a very good rider, the only thing is he is nearly looking in my eyes when I'm talking to him and I'm 6ft 2!

""I'm delighted for (my wife) Aileen, she kept the faith.

"He'll go on to the turf now. People have been on trying to buy him for jumping, but Aileen is very keen on keeping him. She won't get me taking out a jumping licence!"
