Rock On Lilly boosted her paddock value when making all for a wide margin victory in the Powerstown Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel.
The Westerner mare received a major pedigree update last Saturday when her full-brother Total Recall took the Ladbrokes Trophy Chase (formerly the Hennessy) at Newbury.
Danny Mullins bounced the seven-year-old out in front from flagfall and she duly scored at odds of 8/1.
Tom Donohue ’s charge travelled well and took a clear advantage approaching the second last.
She stayed on strongly on the testing ground to beat Tintown Robin by ten lengths, with Neddyvaughan another 15 lengths away in third.
Donohue said, "She's a sister to Total Recall so I'm hoping she'll be valuable! It was funny that the two horses won around the same time and I was praying she would win today. She did it alright and she was happy on the ground.
"I'm based in Bagenalstown and have four horses in training at the moment."
Mullins said, “Tom asked me to ride work on her this year, and I’ve been in early riding her before I went to Willies. She worked well the other morning in the dark, at least I told him she did!
“Tom has done a good job to get this one right and fingers crossed she can win again.”
