Rain sees Curragh ground change to officially good Following 5mm of rain overnight, the ground at the Curragh ahead of the third and final day of their Guineas festival is now described as good. The forecast is to clear into the afternoon with the possibility of isolated thundershowers. There are two Group 1's on the card, the Tattersalls Gold Cup(3.10) and first fillies Classic, the Irish 1000 Guineas(3.45). Last year's Derby winner Auguste Rodin(1/1) heads the betting for the former race, while stablemate Opera Singer(10/3) narrowly holds favouritism for the latter.
