This afternoons meeting at Cork goes ahead after the track passed a 7.45 inspection. Following a dry night, the course was found to be raceable. The ground was described as soft to heavy.

Clerk of the Course Val O'Connell said; "we have a lovely strip of fresh ground, 8yards of fresh ground on the hurdles track. We are moving the bends on the chase track at the moment to give fresh ground on the bends."

Meanwhile, following 5.5mm of rain, the ground at Fairyhouse is now yielding, yielding to soft in places. There is fresh ground on both the hurdle and chase tracks.

Cork gets underway at 1.50, with the first race at Fairyhouse due off at 2.05.
