The 4/1 favourite Beggars Rock trained by Declan Queally, was a wide-margin winner of the D Pack Packaging Handicap Hurdle.

Blinkered for the first time, the Soldier Of Fortune gelding came from off the pace to go second two out and had just headed Grace Faraday when that rival came down at the last. This left Colin Lynskey's five-year-old clear and he scored by 13 lengths from Crowsatedappletart

Rider Kevin Sexton said: "He had a couple of good runs but was getting frustrating. He jumped and travelled today, they stopped and he galloped to the line well.

"At one stage we thought he was a proper three-miler and I think 2m5 suits him well when they go quick."
