Quadruple impresses to make it a double for Lyons and Keane A brilliant day for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane was topped off in the concluding La Celia Wines Handicap at the Curragh courtesy of another Juddmonte representative, Quadruple, as the even money favourite sent many punters home happy. A much depleted field it may have been but it was difficult not to be impressed by the manner in which Quadruple made all and did enough to fend off the challenge of Chicago Fireball by a length and a quarter. “I think this one is on the improve. She’s definitely growing and I can’t wait to keep stepping her up in trip," said Lyons. “She’s developed from race to race and next year could be a good year for her. “She’s a slow burner and the way she’s going the dream of black type is still alive but not this year.” D. McMonagle, rider of Ohailbhic, trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mounts action shortened on the run to the line. (AM & EM)
