Tomorrow's meeting at Clonmel will have to pass an inspection at 7.30 in the morning due to the threat of frost at the County Tipperary track.

The track is currently fit for racing and the going is described as soft to heavy.

Clerk of the course Lorcan Wyer said this afternoon: "Due to the current forecast for low temperatures we will hold a precautionary inspection at Clonmel tomorrow morning.

"The situation at the track today was that the chase track was fit for racing first thing this morning but the frost didn't come out of the ground on the hurdle track until a little later.

"However, both tracks were fit for racing at 10.30am.

"On that basis, and with another frost expected tonight, we felt it was wise to call an inspection.

"However, temperatures are not due to get as low tonight and with the current forecast we would be hopeful of racing tomorrow."
