Pleasing beginning for Nancy & O'Sullivan On outing number one for Ross O'Sullivan Nancy Astor came forward at odds of 20/1 to take the www.gowranpark.ie Handicap. The Danny Grant-ridden Nancy Astor made all, she quickened to extend her advantage under two furlongs out, before staying on well inside the final furlong for a one length verdict over Free Radical. "She had form in England last year and did that a couple of times before finishing second or third," explained O'Sullivan. "We have her about five or six weeks and she's been tipping away at home. She seems happy being out in front so we let her mosey along. "I thought she was a bit free early on but two furlongs down she had them all at it. She can be a bit fussy at home but when she's in front she's happy and not pulling and fighting. "She was owned by Godolphin and has a nice pedigree. "That's my first runner from my new yard and first winner. "I've moved over to share a yard with Denis Cullen. There are more boxes there and top-class facilities." The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Nancy Astor (GB) trained by Ross O'Sullivan was found to have burst blood vessels. (GC & EM)
