Pathfork made an impressive winning debut in the L.Behan Tarmacadam & Asphalt EBF (C&G) Maiden over seven furlongs at the Curragh this afternoon.
Shane Foley never had his mount too far off the pace, and drew clear inside the final furlong for a comfortable four length success over 8/11 favourite Robin Hood
Winning trainer Jessica Harrington said afterwards: “He’s a nice horse, and has always worked better than the grey horse [Laughing Lashes who finished second at Leopardstown].”
“We were a bit worried about the ground today. He’s in the Futurity so we’ll see what happens but I think he’ll stay a mile after that performance.”
