Outside The Door (7/1) followed up his victory at the Listowel Festival when taking the Lough Construction Ltd. Handicap Hurdle for trainer Padraig Roche.
The Milan gelding was always prominent and took up the running before the home straight. He stayed on resolutely to get the better of the 5/2 favourite Temptationinmilan by two and a half lengths.
The winner was defying a 9lb higher rating after getting off the mark on his eleventh start over hurdles at the Harvest Festival.
Aidan Kelly again took 7lb off the 5-year-old’s back and said afterwards: "He's improving with every run he has.
"I rode him here in Down Royal before and was third on him. They probably didn't go quick enough that day.
"The last day they really found the trick to him. He loves being out in front.
"I'd say he might go on a little break or he might run in a few beginners' chases.
"He's a great spin and I'm very thankful to the lads for giving me the ride on him. That's my sixth winner now and they have all been for Padraig (Roche). He's my main man."
