Our Vic out of Paddy Power

Ante-post favourite Our Vic will not run in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham on Saturday after sustaining a leg injury.

The Martin Pipe-trained gelding has suffered a muscle tear to a hind leg, and is now likely to be re-routed to the Tripleprint Gold Cup.

Fondmort heads the weights of the 17 left in at the five-day entry stage, while Pipe and owner David Johnson are now double-handed with Celestial Gold and It Takes Time.

Paul Nicholls also has two horses declared, Le Duc and Thisthatandtother, with the latter the subject of strong support today.

Munster National winner Colca Canyon and the Charlie Swan-trained Ground Ball are the two remaining Irish hopes, while new favourite Monkerhostin and Farmer Jack represent the Philip Hobbs yard.

The Hobbs-trained Rooster Booster tops the weights in the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham on Sunday, while there are three Irish-trained of the 17 still declared - Back In Front, Accordion Etoile and Power Elite.
