Olifan D'Oudairies takes full advantage Louth trainer John Larkin saw his eight-year-old gelding Olifan D'Oudairies land the spoils at 14/1 in an eventful two mile four furlong handicap chase at Down Royal. The 2/1 favourite Killy Fryer had moved ominously into the lead and appeared to be going well when he suffered a crashing fall four out, bringing Willies Girl down in the process. Olifan D'Oudairies was sitting behind Killy Fryer and took up the running which he never relinquished under replacement jockey Andrew Lynch. He came home a length and a half clear of Keoghs Tradbar. Successful trainer Larkin said: "He had the form in the book to do it. I think he would have given the favourite a run if he hadn't fallen. "The owner Sean Gallagher is becoming one of the biggest owners in Ireland with 40 horses in training."
