Old Supporter follows up on Tramore win Old Supporter followed up on his win at Tramore last Friday as he took the Malton.com Handicap Chase under Jody McGarvey for Denis Cullen and owner Louis Hill. Having made all at Tramore the same tactics were deployed today. He was pushed along after three out and kept on well from there to score comfortably by six lengths. Curragh Golan came through to take second under Shane Shortall for Garrett Power at 9/1 while Colms Dream (11/2) was a further five and a half lengths back in third under Johnny Barry for Karl Thornton. Knockraha Prince was sent off the 7/2 favourite and he finished fourth under Jonathan Burke for Pat O'Connor. The winner, who is a ten-year-old son of Sunshine Street, was returned a 4/1 chance having opened at 5's on-course. Denis Cullen, who only has the winner a short time, said afterwards: "He's a tough old boy. I'm delighted for Louis (Hill) as I've ridden for him alot in the past and now it's come full circle and it's great to be training winners for him. "He was great in Tramore, and I'd say he was nearly better today. We'll see what the handicapper does now, and I doubt he'll be in 102 races now. He deserves a crack at a decent race now."
