Oak floored as fortunate Florida scores Favourite backers thanked their lucky stars at Limerick today as 9/10 favourite Florida Pal benefited from the final flight fall of clear leader Vintage Oak in the Ryans Event Cleaners Maiden Hurdle. Vintage Oak moved through into a clear lead after the second last flight, and jumped the final flight perfectly well before stumbling and falling a few strides after that obstacle. This left the path clear for Florida Pal, who looked booked for second spot, to record a fortunate eight lengths win. Mullins was not present while Florida Pal's rider Patrick Mullins was soon whisked away by helicopter to ride in the bumper at Leopardstown.
