Edward O’Grady and Andrew McNamara doubled up after Slieveardagh landed the Ladbrokes.com Grade B Handicap Hurdle.
McNamara had to work hard aboard the six year old gelding but he responded well to pressure to get up and lead on the run-in and deny Castle Anshan and Davy Condon by a head.
A delighted McNamara said afterwards: “That was hard work, he’s not an easy ride.”
Their earlier winner came with Suffren who took the opening race on today’s card.
O’Grady who was not present for the two wins was in France as his charge Alaivan was running in Auteuil.
