O´Neill new Cork Manager

Michael O´Neill will succeed Michael Lane as General Manager of Cork Racecourse at the end of this month.

O´Neill, a graduate of the University College Cork and St. Joseph´s University, Philadelphia, has a B.Comm. and an M.B.A. in marketing and management and is promoted from his position at the Mallow track of Racing and Commercial Manager.

He has 20 years of management and marketing experience at various levels including as Commercial Manager for The Marlborough Group in Cork.

´I am delighted to be given this opportunity to take over the reigns of such a successful enterprise. My role will be to continue to work closely with the board and staff and to continue to make the Racecourse more and more successful in the years to come.´ said O´Neill.

Commenting on the appointment Denis Cronin, Chairman of Cork Racecourse said, ´I am delighted to welcome Michael´s promotion to General Manager at Cork Racecourse, which is one of the most modern racecourse facilities in the country. I am sure that under his guidance it will continue to grow and develop.´
