Ross O'Sullivan had a nice winner at Naas on Saturday when Peter Jones' homebred filly Dance Night Andday landed a six-furlong handicap under Colin Keane and the outcome of the following contest on the card gave the trainer another reason to be cheerful.

The Declan Landy-sponsored premier handicap for three-year-olds saw Fozzy Stack's Eclipse Emerald get the better of Kortez Bay for a third time and this pair had chased home O'Sullivan's French import Follow Me in a Curragh maiden on their previous starts.

Fourth in that April event at headquarters was Jack Davison's Betsen who was touched off in Listed company at Navan on his next outing so the form is looking better all the time.

Formerly owned by Frank McNulty, Follow Me was bought for 170,000 euros at Arqana Deauville Autumn (h-i-t) in November having shown very useful form at up to a mile for Mauricio Delcher-Sanchez who bred the Shalaa colt in partnership with McNulty.

“He’s going to be entered for the Lacken at Naas next Sunday. It’s a Group 3 over six," said O'Sullivan.

“If there is an ease in the ground he’ll definitely run.

“He might be a bit vulnerable on good ground whereas his form on soft ground was key from his French form as well.

“The weather is forecast to be a bit changeable so we’ll see what comes.

“He’s done well since he won at the Curragh.”
