Priced at even-money in morning wagering, Sansrisk was sent off 2/5 favourite for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle at Fairyhouse and landed the odds with the minimum of fuss when making virtually all under Keith Donoghue.

In front after jumping the first, David L'Estrange's five-year-old was pursued on the home turn by Meet My Loreley but readily went clear of that rival after the last to score by four-and-a-quarter lengths.

Trainer Philip Dempsey said: “She was the form horse and we were hoping she would come and do that. It was probably a weak enough race but it was great to get it.

“She won her bumper on quick enough ground in Downpatrick and is a light sort of filly. She wants goodish ground and won’t be one for the winter.

“She’ll probably go to Down Royal now for the Feathard Lady Mares Novice Hurdle (Grade3 on November 1).”
