No problems for busy Audrelles He was an eight-year-old before he eventually began on the racecourse, last October, but Audrelles Lad is making up for lost time and on his third outing in eight days (bumped up 9Ibs for his 3rd at Sligo last Sunday) he landed a bit of a punt, stylishly, under Brian Hayes in the Mullingar Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan. The son of Sea Raven (his star performer has been Tranquil Sea) was backed from a morning price of 10/1 into 6/1. He was always prominent behind the clear pace-setter, Toor Brook Honours. When that one folded from four out, Audrelles Lad took over and he kept up the gallop in the straight to beat Ross Na Righ (travelled well to get there) by a comfortable four and a half lengths. Oliver Brady (coming hot on the heels of One Cool Shabra's Thursday Clonmel victory) trains the lightly-weighted Audrelles Lad for the Boyles, farmers from Dundalk and he said: "We've no plans, we'll just take him home and see how he is. He has the job done now – that's the main thing." Doctor Henry went lame in running and pulled up. He was lame on his near fore post race. (TW & EM)
