Nibiru kept on strongly under Gavin Ryan to run out an easy winner of the Fairyhouse Summer BBQ Rated Race at Fairyhouse.

In front early on, Ryan was content to take a pull and allow customary front runner Dollar Value take over and build up a commanding lead.

Nibiru settled in fifth as The Jam Man and Ebedi led the pursuers. Colin Keane momentarily looked to have slipped the field as Dollar Value kicked on again turning for home to Ryan moved easily into second and soon had the leader in his sights.

Taking up the running over a furlong out, Nibiru merely had to be pushed out hands and heels for a taking success. All roads now lead to Galway for the Tony Martin trained gelding.

Gavin Ryan said; “It worked out great. I rode this horse at the Galway festival, I finished second on him, and I thought he was a shade unlucky that day.

“I knew that he runs well fresh. There seemed to be plenty of pace in the race and I thought that would suit him.

“When I got him out, and got him into daylight, he picked up well and put the race to bed well. I'm very happy with him.”
