Saga Aravis threw away a potential winning opportunity in the finale at Fairyhouse and My Newbrook Rose took full advantage.
Front-runner Saga Aravis made a bold bid for success and a good jump at the second last had the pursuing My Newbrook Rose off the bridle in second.
My Newbrook Rose found for pressure, though, and was cutting into the deficit at the last where Saga Aravis blundered and lost all chance.
My Newbrook Rose swept by upon touching down and drew seven lengths clear under Sean Flanagan.
The winner landed a gamble from as big as 16/1 in the morning down to 5/1 on the off.
Runner-up Saga Aravis went off the 9/2 joint favourite. Rebelle Chaud the other 9/2 joint favourite came home third ahead of Bright Sunbird (11/1).
The horses have been sick all year and are just coming back into form now,” said trainer Adrian Murray.
“I'm delighted with her, she's won a point-to-point and two hurdles now.
"This is her ground and she wouldn't be one for the depths of winter. We'll look for another hurdle and she'll go chasing in the long-term.”
The Stewards requested a report from Adrian Murray, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of My Newbrook Rose, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Adrian Murray stated that leaving off the headgear today and his horses coming into a rich vein of form had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.
