Big Occasion completed a double for Johnny Murtagh in the 'Tipperary's Hidden Heritage' Maiden, the Ballydoyle colt accounting for Raffaello Santi by a length.
The victorious son of Sadler's Wells, coming off a 282 day break, battled tenaciously to score from the Weld-runner with Jim Bolger's Gipsy Countess third and the 11/10 favourite, Zanoubiya (a second beaten favourite from Currabeg in as many races) only fourth.
Murtagh, earlier successful on David Wachman's Griffin commented: "He battled well, he's a hardy devil."
