Murphy's horses lead home Tipperary 1-2-3 Cheltenham Champion Chase winner John Murphy achieved a notable training feat at Tipperary today when his horses led home a 1-2-3 in the Follow @tipperaryraces on Twitter Apprentice Handicap, led home by his wife Carolyn Murphy's Tanneron. Ridden by Denis Lenihan the daughter of Elnadim battled well for a half length win over stablemates and a pair of Universal Bloodstock Syndicate owned Pure Drama and Peony Rose. Murphy, who narrowly failed to win an Irish Classic with subsequently demoted second-past-the-post Tuscan Evening in 2008, wasn't present for the win but afterwards Lenihan stated "she broke well, handled the ground well and while she had been out of form recently, had bits of form. That's my sixth winner." By Tom Weekes
