Murphy owned trained and bred Tintoretto wins at Limerick Tintoretto proved best in the Croom House Stud Handicap at Limerick where only a length and three parts split the first five home. Just the seven contested this mile heat and well-backed favourite Sacchoandvanzetti (13/8 into 5/4) couldn’t muster a change of gear from over a furlong out. He kept on at the same pace for third and it was Passing Trade that gave Tintoretto most to do. Half a length split them at the line and the eye was drawn to fourth placer Havana Breeze. She didn’t get a clear run from two furlongs out and finished out her race well. Niall McCullagh rode Tintoretto for John Murphy. Murphy's son George said: "He is a lovely horse and is versatile enough trip-wise and won his maiden over six furlongs at Dundalk. "I don't think he wants it too fast and doesn't want extremes and we'll try and find something similar next." (TW & EM)
