Arthur Moore has had a quiet spell in recent times but the trainer produced a potentially decent recruit, Doumo Di Milano, to make a winning debut in the concluding Trim Bumper at Navan today.
Ridden by Niall Kelly, recently chosen to represent Ireland in the Fegentri Series, the son of Milan moved to the front over a furlong out before stretching clear for a comfortable win over Dunbrovic
Afterwards Moore stated “Doumo Di Milano is a nice staying horse and we’ll go for a maiden hurdle next. He’’ll see out the season over hurdles but will be sent chasing next season as he jumps well.
“His dam is by The Parson, so his stamina was showing through and while we bought him as a three year old at the Derby Sale, the long wait is paying off now!”
