The five-year-old gelding, successful twice for connections over hurdles last term, was never too far off the pace and asserted on the run-in under Ruby Walsh to justify odds of 2/1. The Willie Mullins-trained son of Honolulu had four and a half lengths to spare over the odds-on General Principle, with Jimmy Two Times the same distance back in third. Mullins said, "He jumped very well. We'll have to look for a winners' of one or a step up in grade to a graded race so we'll see what's on the calendar before or during Christmas. "I always think he's better on this ground (yielding) but he is able to win on heavy. I do think he's better on good ground and am looking forward to the spring with him." (TW & AM)
