Mitebeall wins Wexford feature Mitebeall Forluck just got up to land the feature at Wexford this afternoon, the Casey Precast Handicap Chase, scoring under David Casey for Arthur Moore and owner Christopher Hanbury. The six-year-old son of Westerner finished a good third to Coldstonesober at Galway in September and unseated on the run-in on his last start at Sligo when beaten in third. Sent off at 13/2 this afternoon he was settled towards rear before he made good headway on the outer after the third last. He was ridden in second after the next and got up close home to prevail by a head. Dick Dundee (12/1), who won this race last year, had to settle for second under Brian O’Connell (replaced Mikey Fogarty) for Paul Nolan while Nearest The Pin was a further two lengths back in third under Andrew McNamara for John Hanlon at 7/1. Call Rog was sent off the 5/2 favourite but he could only manage a well-beaten sixth under Mark Walsh for Mouse Morris (was later reported to have burst blood vessels in running). Arthur Moore said afterwards: "His dam is a full-sister to Hors La Loi III and Cyborgo. He is going the right way and the extra few furlongs were obviously a help. "He will probably only get four or five pounds so it doesn’t make any difference but I might run him tomorrow or Wednesday. We will see how he is in the morning but I’m not ruling it out. It is nice to get that pot. "After he won at Clonmel I thought he would go on. He ran a blinder at Christmas in a good race and then the ground went for him. He is very ground dependant and he is such a big horse you wouldn’t want it too fast. "At Sligo we probably rode him wrong and the track probably didn’t suit. "David gave him a great ride."
