Miss Elizabeth showed a good turn of foot to readily land the three-runner opener in Navan for Eddie Lynam.
The Intense Focus filly had won on debut in Fairyhouse by a neck at 16/1. She was easy enough to back at 15/8 though for this median auction race for juveniles over six furlongs.
Punters came for Blood Moon (10/11f from 11/8 in the morning) who wasn't beaten far in seventh behind the smart Round Two in the Listed Marble Hill Stakes at the Curragh. An Duine Uasal soon led as Blood Moon raced prominently on his shoulder. Miss Elizabeth was a bit slowly away but tracked the duo in front of her in a close third.
An Duine Uasal was first to come off the bridle as Blood Moon tanked into the lead with over two furlongs to race. However, it was a short-lived lead as Miss Elizabeth came through on the outside full of running to pick him off on the run to the final furlong.
She strode on and put daylight between Blood Moon and herself deep inside the last furlong. The winning margin was three lengths. An Duine Uasal was eight lengths further back in third. The winner sported the colours of Eddie Lynam's wife, Aileen.
"She did it well and the woman she is named after is here today, Aileen's mother," Eddie Lynam said.
"She's a nice filly and was well bought. It was a nice prize and I don't know why there were only three runners but thankfully we were one of them.
"We'll probably step her up into black-type now. She's bred to be a miler. The others were sprinters and were a little bit too sharp for her early but she picked them up well."
