Miss Cunning who is proving to be a real bargain buy for Aengus King came from the back of the field to land the Betty McGrath Memorial Handicap at Listowel.

Having missed the break, Jake Coen showed real patience on the mare before delivering her with a well timed run down the outside to win snugly at the line.

A three-time winner for Kevin Prendergast earlier in her career, the daughter of Sir Prancealot has been revitalised by a change of scenery in recent months.

Aengus King said; "we thought she'd win in Cork but was beaten on the line and stumbled the last day leaving the stalls in Gowran. She stayed on and on and on today, we couldn't believe it actually because coming down the back, she was so far off the pace.

"Once she gets going she is so genuine and we think she could go a little further. That's her first win on the grass."
