Shay Barry was the rider in form at the south-eastern venue when partnering a double aboard Willoughby Joe and Del Trotter.
Willoughby Joe provided Bunclody handler Tony Black with his first winner since taking out a full licence when prominent throughout to beat Native Park by four lengths in the Pinnacle Handicap Hurdle.
Barry followed up half-an-hour later on Del Trotter in the featured South East Fish Distributors Chase, drawing clear in the straight to upset Sharpaten by three and a half lengths.
Jim Cousins was another local trainer on the mark when saddling his first winner with Beachgrove Thyne in the Michael O'Murchadha Handicap Chase. Sean McDermott sent the seven-year-old past Ballyknokan Lad after the last to score by four lengths.
Willie Mullins was called before the stewards to account for the improvement in form of Kono, who opened his account under amateur Jamie Codd in the Rosslare Maiden Hurdle. The Carlow handler, who is still awaiting results of tests done on Florida Pearl after his Cheltenham Gold Cup flop, told the stewards that Kono appears to run best fresh.
