Khairambar proved much too good for his rivals in the Parkhouse Stud Chase at Wexford as he cruised to an easy three length success.
Dessie Hughes' gelding was sent off 6/4f for the two mile event and punters had few worries as he loomed large at the second last.

'He probably needs further as he was flat out the whole way,' said Mahon. 'He possibly needs an easy three miles.'

Eddie Power produced Brave Castaway with a strong run after the last to spring a 33/1 shock in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle. Winning trainer Tony Seymour was full of praise for the young jockey.
