< Waaheb finally came good over fences when proving much too classy in the www.tipperary.ie Beginners Chase.
Dermot Weld's smart hurdler hasn't found things quite as easy over the larger obstacles and failed to complete for the second time in this sphere at Ballinrobe two weeks ago.
However, the 2-1 market leader produced a much more polished display here and a bold leap at the last was good enough for him to pull a length and a quarter clear of Georges Conn < Dragon Fei looks an exciting recruit to this code having made an impressive winning hurdling debut in the opening Follow Tipperary Races On Facebook Mares Maiden Hurdle.
The 12-1 victor was always travelling strongly and gave Conor Maxwell an armchair ride as she eased five and a half lengths clear on the run-in.
As expected, Ordinary World and Timing'severything proved a class apart in the Join The Tipperary Supporter's Club 2016 (C & G) Maiden Hurdle with the former just proving half a length too strong.
The 1-1 favourite was always handily placed under jockey Andrew Lynch, who also rode the winner of this race twelve months ago, and put his previous hurdling experience to good use, jumping well and finding plenty in the closing stages.
In contrast, Timing'severything still looks to have plenty to learn, especially in the jumping department, but he can be expected to build on this highly encouraging effort.
There was a big-priced winner of the Tipperary Student Day Handicap Hurdle as 20-1 shot Travel Ogue saw off Pilgrim Way by three lengths while Finish In Style got the better of Marvellous Moment in the Schooling At Tipperary Beginners Chase.
There was heartbreak for supporters of Lilly The Lioness as she crashed out at the final fence of Tipperary Handicap Chase, handing victory to Venture Lazarus (7-1), while favourite Lieutenant easily landed the Season Finale INH Flat Race at odds of 1-4.
