< Great Wide Open (11-4jt-fav) finished with a wet sail to land the Fundraising Events At Tipperary Races Handicap, the feature event at Tipperary on Thursday evening.
Charles O'Brien's charge finished a couple of places behind Well Done Me when sixth at the Curragh 11 days ago but managed to reverse the form with the Brian Nolan inmate, who had to settle for second after leading for much of the way.
The winner looked in trouble when pushed along by Fran Berry two furlongs out, but really motored home at the finish to score with a length and three-quarters to spare.< Taisce Naisiunta (7-1) made a nice debut when landing the opening Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Maiden.
The Lawman filly was always going well and after hitting the front a furlong out, Jim Bolger's charge pulled two and quarter lengths clear of Greyscape in taking fashion.< Diamondsandrubies (6-1) made it second-time lucky in the Fundraising Events At Tipperary Races Handicap.< Chinese Light who was sent off 4-7 favourite, made most of the running but had no answers when joined by Aidan O'Brien's charge entering the final furlong and the latter recorded a winning margin of two and a quarter lengths.
O'Brien was out of luck with Jacobean in the Join The Tipperary Races Supporter's Club (C & G) Maiden, which went to Radanpour (2-1).
The Ballydoyle representative did battle with long-time leader Novis Adventus up the home straight and just as it looked as though the latter had seen off that challenge, Dermot Weld's Sea The Stars colt swooped in the dying strides for a half-length success.
There was a shock in the closing Racing Again At Tipperary On April 17th Race as Weld's Alkasser (4-11fav) was beaten by 11-2 chance Colour Blue
The favourite looked to set to land the odds in the three-runner event when hitting the front a furlong out, but failed to go on as expected and the Conor King-ridden filly battled back to get up by a neck.
