Madame Mado had a huge advatange with a circuit to run in the two and a half-mile contest, but her stride started shortening before the last, allowing Make My Night to creep into contention.

Edward Cawley's 12-1 chance was too strong for Madame Mado in the final furlong, eventually recording a two-length verdict.
